Ways to Give
You can support St. Anthony High School in many inspired ways. Whether your gift is large or small, designated for a specific purpose such as financial aid for needy students or for annual support or a special project or need, your contribution makes a difference in the lives of students and in the future of St. Anthony High School.
Below are some examples of giving options.These are meant to provide general information and are not intended as tax advice. Please check with your tax expert and/or financial planner regarding charitable giving and the deduction allowed by law.
Planned Gifts
There are several ways to create a giving plan that will enable you to make a larger gift to St. Anthony High School than you thought possible, while receiving income and tax benefits in return. Planned gifts can be structured, for example, as charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities or bequests. Gifts can be tailored to meet your financial and estate planning goals, objectives and concerns. St. Anthony High School can assist you and/or your financial planner, exploring options and setting up planned gifts.
Cash Gifts
The simplest and most immediate way to support St. Anthony High School through a gift is to write a check payable to St. Anthony High School, or contact us to make a credit card gift. Gifts may also be made online. Recurring scheduled gifts can also be setup, utilizing your credit card or direct deduction from your account. If you itemize your deductions on your federal tax return, you will receive a deduction based on the value of your gift. Major cash gifts can also be made in the form of a pledge to be paid over a period of time. Securities
If you have stocks and bonds that have been held long-term and have increased in value, you can donate shares to St. Anthony High School, and in most cases receive both an income tax deduction based on the full fair market value of the asset (up to 30 percent of your adjusted gross value) and avoidance of Capital Gains Tax. If your assets have decreased in value, sell them and donate the proceeds to St. Anthony High School and take a charitable deduction. You might also want to explore innovative gifts such as real estate, tangible personal property, closely held business interests and life insurance.
Matching Gifts
Many corporations demonstrate their support for St. Anthony High School as an educational nonprofit organization by matching or multiplying their employees' gifts to the school. The corporate matching portion of the gift will be credited to the same program as the employee donation. Ask your employer if they offer this benefit.
