What are YOU doing this summer?

The US Military Academy will host two summer sessions for outstanding high school juniors who would like to gain a better understanding of the academic, physical, military and leadership-development programs at a military academy. To qualify you MUST be in the top 1/5th of your class, have strong PSAT scores, and demonstrate leadership potential.  Visit www.admissions.usma.edu for more info and to register. Applications must be turned in by April 1, 2009.  The first session begins May 30 and runs through June 5.  The second session will be from June 6 thru the 12th.
 
USC Wrigley Marine Science Center will sponsor a Oceanography and Marine Science summer program for high school women entering the 9th, 10th, 11th grade on  Catalina Island.
Activities will include: kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, swimming, botany, lab study, astronomy, geology, arts and crafts, experiments, field exploration and group projects. What a great way to have fun and learn at the same time!
 
USC also offers over 20 summer seminars in the arts and sciences where students are able to learn in actual classrooms and labs at USC and earn 3 college credits.  Courses available include Architecture, Engineering, Business, Science, and the Arts.
