Athletic Facilities

St. Anthony Athletic Complex

In 1945, a 9.56-acre parcel of land at 4700 Clark Avenue in Long Beach was donated to St. Anthony Parish and designated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles as SAHS Memorial Stadium for the school’s athletic activities. The stadium opened in 1947 and has been continuously used for SAHS sports, including soccer, track, and baseball. It features amenities such as a field house, press box, clay dirt track, and a baseball field established in 1984. The complex was originally named "Clark Field" after the generous Clark family who donated the property and for whom Clark Avenue is named, efforts are currently underway to fully renovate this historic facility. The St. Anthony High School Athletic Complex was recently rebuilt and had its Grand Opening Ceremony in August of 2023.

Jack Errion Gymnasium

In 1948, the "St. Anthony Catholic Center" was unveiled with the motto "Mens Sana in Corpore Sano" (Healthy Mind, Healthy Body) prominently displayed on its concrete façade. In 1991, the Gymnasium was named the "Jack Errion Memorial Gymnasium" in honor of renowned coach and educator Jack Errion.

Located at 854 East 6th Street in Long Beach, the two-story Gymnasium features poured concrete walls and a lightweight steel truss roof structure. It houses a full-size basketball/volleyball court with hardwood flooring, concrete bleachers, scoreboards, a speaker system, and metal frame windows. The second floor includes offices and meeting rooms, while the basement offers men’s and women’s locker rooms, showers, restrooms, a weight room, and storage areas. The Gymnasium spans 34,121 square feet on a corner lot of 40,330 square feet, with fenced asphalt parking accessible from two rear entrances. It was most recently renovated and modernized in July of 2024.
