CIF Girls’ Volleyball Playoffs, Round One

St. Anthony (13-12) made the postseason in year one under head coach Keli Pula. The Saints are the No. 4 seed from the Del Rey League and will travel out past Corona to play at Roosevelt (25-5) in round one. The Mustangs are the No. 3 seed in the D4 bracket and will be a tough out for a young Saints team. If St. Anthony can pull off the upset, they’re guaranteed to host in round two.

Long Beach Volleyball Teams Learn CIF-SS Playoff Fate

St. Anthony got in as an at-large from the Del Rey League and has a tough road with a first-round match at Big VIII League champ Roosevelt on Thursday. With a win the Saints would play the winner of South Hills and Valley Christian.

St. Anthony Girls’ Volleyball Preview 2022

New St. Anthony head coach Keli Pula has roamed the sidelines for some of the biggest and most successful high school volleyball programs in the area. Now that he’s back coaching in his hometown, Pula is excited about working with this young group of Saints. Though the spotlight may not be as bright as it was when he was at Long Beach Poly or Mater Dei, he’s got the same passion for the sport and the desire to bring championships to Long Beach.

Alicia Lemau’u Steps Down At St. Anthony, Keli Pula Hired As Girls’ Head Coach

The St. Anthony volleyball program will have a change in leadership for the 2022-23 school year with the announcement that longtime head coach Alicia Lemau’u is stepping away from the program. Lemau’u has been the head coach of both the girls’ and boys’ volleyball programs for the past decade, winning a CIF title with the girls’ team in 2016.

Sports Physicals June 21st

Sports physical will be given on June 21st during the hours of 9:00am - 8:00pm. Each student must sign up for a physical appointment. Once you sign up you will not receive an email from the school. Show up at the time you have indicated . If there is a change in your scheduled time you will be notified by email. There will only be 50 available physical signups. Please sign up ASAP. Sign ups will be cut off on Sunday June 19th at 8:00am. Physicals will be $20 and charged to your facts account. Please do not show up at Exer Urgent Care with cash. They will not accept it.
