The Online Writing Lab (OWL) at Purdue University, which houses writing resources and instructional materials, is provided as a free service of the Writing Lab at Purdue. Students, members of the community, and users worldwide will find information to assist them with many writing projects, during any stage of the writing process. Teachers and trainers may use these materials for in-class and out-of-class instruction
OWL answers all sorts of questions from all sorts of people!
People email the OWL staff from all over the world with a wide variety of questions, including questions about grammar, sentence structure, research, formatting, genre, etc. The OWL services are used by students, from high school to graduate school. Office workers from all kinds of industries email with questions about memos, reports, manuals, and other office documents. Job seekers get answers to questions about resumes, cover letters, and other professional documents.
