Key Club International is a Kiwanis Club sponsored service club
On Wednesday. March 21st the Key Club of SAHS took the students of the Bethune transitional school to the LA Zoo. The Key Club, led by senior Fernando Cabrera took the kids to the Los Angeles Zoo for a fun filled day.
It was clear that the spider monkeys were an instant favorite as were the Elephant and Lion. The kids ages 5 to 14, quickly bonded to their buddies as they received T-shirts with a clever design spelling out the L.A. Zoo trip 2007. The kids also received gift bags filled with coloring books, diaries, toothbrushes, and candy. As the day came to a close, the Key Club said goodbye to their buddies as they made their way back to school.
Leslie Greitl 07’ said, “I wish we could have spent more time with the kids at the zoo, it felt kind of rushed.” Even that did not keep us from enjoying our buddies, I hope we can do it again soon!
