2006 Season Record: Overall 25-4; Santa Fe League 8-0
Season Summary: Santa Fe League Champions. The Saints returned to their winning way during the 2006-07 season - recapturing some of the glory of the Coach Jack Errion days when Saints basketball dominated the area teams winning 4 Angeles League titles and seven Catholic League crowns. After going 23-3 on the season and capturing their first league title in 19 years, the Saints reached the simi-finals by beating LA Baptist and slipping by Cathedral. The Buckley Griffins finally slowed the Saints in a game that was tight through three and a half quaters, with the Saints coming up short 71-52.

On the 2/20/07 Quarter Final game...
THE GAME would start anyone's heart.
The Cathedral crowd outnumbered the Saints by at least 3:1 and we were the home team. The Saints could do nothing right the first quarter, scoring but a single basket and four free throws. We scored at the buzzer to end the half, behind 13 points ,33 to 20. Our side was muted and the prospects dim.
I don't know what the coach told them at half but they came out with fire in their
eyes. A pressing, hawking defense, timely shooting brought the Saints and our fans to a crescendo of points and cheering. We scored 26 points (6 more than the entire first half) to Cathedrals 10, putting us ahead 46-43. Talk about an unbelievable comeback. The fourth quarter was a succession of lead changes with the SAINTS making a free throw with 1 second on the clock to ice the game. Carcamo with 8, Cara 18, Cotten 19 and Douglas with 12 led the Saints scoring.
You had to be proud of the Saints speed, hustle, tenacity, gutty, unselfish, performance. It seemed to me the speed and contact in last nites game was a cut above what I remembered from previous times. All I can say was it was a barnburner. You had to be there to feel the energy and excitement overflowing Jack Errion gym.

On the 2/16 Playoff game
The Santa Fe League Champion Saint basketball team beat LA Baptist 55-52 in a nail biter at the Jack Errion Gym on Friday night moving them into the third round of the CIF Southern Section IV-A Playoffs.
