After a difficult season that saw the St. Anthony girls’ soccer team finish 4-11 overall and winless in the Camino Real League, the Saints administration knew they needed a change of pace for their program. Players had quit or burned out, and the team needed an injection of youth and energy–and that’s exactly what they got when they hired Rina Perez.

Sports physical will be given on June 21st during the hours of 9:00am - 8:00pm. Each student must sign up for a physical appointment. Once you sign up you will not receive an email from the school. Show up at the time you have indicated . If there is a change in your scheduled time you will be notified by email. There will only be 50 available physical signups. Please sign up ASAP. Sign ups will be cut off on Sunday June 19th at 8:00am. Physicals will be $20 and charged to your facts account. Please do not show up at Exer Urgent Care with cash. They will not accept it. Tatiana Fernandez is the type of soccer player every coach dreams of having on their team. Not only is she incredibly talented, she also leads from the front with a humble attitude.

For example, whenever there are competitions during practice and the losers have to run as punishment, Fernandez will run with the losers even if she led her side to victory.

St. Anthony two-sport star Tatiana Fernandez had a big game on the pitch last week in a 4-1 win for the Saints’ girls’ soccer team. Fernandez, who also runs cross country at the school, had a hat trick in the win over St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy.

St. Anthony girls’ soccer has 13 returning players with experience and the right approach to a much anticipated full season. The Saints want to play the game with energetic enjoyment and appreciation while using their natural instincts to play as a cohesive unit.
