They traveled from as far as Oklahoma, Alaska, New Mexico and New York to join in the fun of the 20th year Class Reunion. After many months of meeting and organizing it was decided that one night of festivities would not be enough for this class reunion.

The classmates started their celebrating on Friday, July 28th with a casual class reunion warm up at Joe Jost’s in Long Beach. There was plenty of conversation, spirits, pool playing and laughter shared by all who attended. Everyone had a wonderful evening just hanging out.

On Saturday, July 29th the celebrating continued with a beautiful Dinner/ Dance Hawaiian style at Simon’s Waterfront Restaurant in San Pedro. Everyone joined in by dressing up in their Hawaiian shirts and skirts. As each guest arrived they were greeted with a flower lei and complimentary beverages and an alumni directory/program. On display around the room were various photos from those days in high school, SA memorabilia and a beautiful dedication display honoring our classmates that have gone to rest.

The evening events began with a warm welcome from the planning committee. A delicious buffet styled dinner was served. As people dined they were able to sit and enjoyed conversation with fellow classmates and new friends. A variety of raffle items were handed out after dinner was done. After all the goodies had been given out the music started to play and everyone began dancing and having a spectacular time. I think for most of us we hadn’t heard some of those songs from high school years in a very long time. While some people enjoyed dancing others posed for photos or just took time out to talk with long lost friends.

Before the evening ended a group photo was taken of all the classmates that joined us for the evening. A very heartfelt appreciation was given to all that planned the reunion from all the classmates in attendance. As the evening came to a close there were many hugs and well wishes shared amongst each other.  A request from many for a reunion in 5 years or sooner was given out as well. I guess 10 years was a little too long for everyone.
We would just like to wish all of our classmates and their family well. It was wonderful seeing each and every one of you and we hope to see you all again very soon. We would like to thank all of the people who attended the reunion and we hope that you had as much fun as we all did. God bless you and yours.

Sincerely,
Your Class of 1986 Reunion Committee
