St. Anthony High School’s Four-Year College Plan
An Intensive College Preparation Program
At St. Anthony, we strive to provide an aggressive and intensive college preparation program for each student. Unlike other institutions, St. Anthony High School begins this plan in the student’s Freshmen Year and actively assists each student and family prepare for college.
Highlights of our program:
- Students will meet a minimum of three times/year with College Counselor
- Two College Counselors for student body of 300
- Five College Visits over course of four years at St. Anthony
- Proactive approach with students/families, not waiting for students to come to us
- Parent Financial Aid, Scholarship, and College Workshops
- Week Long College Camp summer before Senior Year
FRESHMAN YEAR
- Beginning of Year Individual Session with College Counselor
- Tour of College/Career Center
- College and Career Inventory and Assessment of Student Interests (online)
- PSAT Test
- Gives student practice for a sometimes intimidating SAT/ACT Test
- Enrolls student into College databases with students receiving info on colleges early
- Means of ongoing assessment and progress at SAHS
- College Bus Trip to Private University
- Begin College Resume & Portfolio
- Start CSU Mentor Program after 1st Semester
- College Visits and Presentations
SOPHOMORE YEAR
- Freshmen Year Transcript Evaluation & Two Individual Sessions with College Counselor
- PSAT Test & Score Evaluation
