PED 101     Physical Education
Grade: 9                                   One year
This course in Physical Education will emphasize several areas of physical fitness, specifically muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, cardiovascular system development, and motor skill development. Students will be instructed in game and tournament play, appreciation for activity, sportsmanship, and recreation for life. Students will be evaluated based upon appearance (daily dress code), effort, and achievement. Evaluation will be physical and written in nature.

PED 401     Senior Physical Education
Grade: 12                                    One year
This course in Physical Education is for seniors who have not completed their physical education requirement for graduation. Emphasis will be placed on several areas of physical fitness, specifically muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, cardiovascular system development, and motor skill development. Students will be instructed in game and tournament play, appreciation for activity, sportsmanship, and recreation for life. Students will be evaluated based upon appearance (daily dress code), effort, and achievement. Evaluation will be physical and written in nature.

Interscholastic Sports
These numbers are for student information only. Do not include Interscholastic Sports on your course selection worksheet. The coaches will submit an official roster at the conclusion of each season of play, and credit will be assigned at that time.

PED 601     Pepsters Team
Grade: 9, 10, 11, 12                               One year
This course is only offered to those that have auditioned and been invited to join the team for the 2007-2008 school year. Practice is scheduled after school. All pepsters are required to attend practice and must participate in rehearsals and performances at school athletic events, pep rallies, school and community activities, and competitions as specified by the coach. This course is for credit/no credit.
